17 First Day of Trout Season
Trout season kicks off at Bridgeport Dam, Chestnut Ridge, Mammoth, Northmoreland, and Twin Lakes Parks. Bait is available for sale and visitors can rent boats at the Northmoreland and Twin Lakes Park Boathouses.
25 Mammoth Park Fishing Derby
A free event for fishermen of all ages from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Trophies and prizes will be awarded to both adults and youth. A door prize drawing will be held for all registered participants. Co-sponsored by the Westmoreland County Sportsmen’s League.

Envirothon
High School teams compete at Mammoth Park in events designed to test their knowledge of the natural world. Sponsored by the Westmoreland Conservation District.

6 You’ve Got a Friend Day
A fun day of activities for children with special needs at Twin Lakes Park from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Responsible volunteers are needed to assist the children.

Historic Hanna's Town Events
The Westmoreland County Historical Society offers a wide range of programs at Historic Hanna's Town. Summer camps for children focusing on history and archaeology are available as well as family events and the popular Antiques and Collectibles Sales.
